Here are a few testimonials from people that have joined our group. There is also an opinion given in 1909!
- "I have searched long, I have searched hard, I have wasted money, I have almost
- given up the goal of having my own home based business. So, I am very
- hopeful, but also wonder if I can be successful with this business. I am not
- a very good sales person. Maybe that can change. I am a mother with two
- children. My husband recently started his own business, and we really want to
- be able to spend time together as a family instead of passing like ships in
- the night. Now, what do I do next???"
"I was beginning to get a bit skeptical, thinking this was maybe another Amway gimmick (they bug me regularly), until I showed the catalogue to my mother. Her response really changed my mind. She started telling me about her fond memories of her grandmother and great grandmother, they both used Watkins products. As soon as she saw the catalogue with the red barn on it she was ready to order. Now I need a catalogue for all the relatives. I think she called half of West Virginia, to spread the news. Her grandmother had 16 brothers and sisters, and her mother had 12. I have cousins I've never met. I guess that was a valuable lesson. I'm glad it wasn't a costly one."
- "I want to thank you for not forgetting I exist on the internet.
- I like what you have sent me as far as letters . My plane is far off course but I am willing to get it back on track this year with little or no excuses. that would be my goal . but I do need your guidance and if there is any Questions I need answered I will send it through e mail.
- again I would like to thank you for not forgetting about me!"
- "I was a Watkins Rep for about 7 years but let my membership expire in
- Dec 1997. I plan to re-join Watkins on July 1 with a new upline.
- I've looked at your web site and read most of it. Your group sounds
- excellent. I had already decided I wanted in the Bretzke upline.
- Please keep me in mind as it nears July."
- "Have you met Tony Robbins??
- I have listened to some of his tapes and they are wonderful. The Holidays have
- been very hectic for us, so I am hoping to be able to devote more time
- to Watkins now. I am an Avon Rep, and I do all right with that, but it
- certainly doesn't seem to have the potential of Watkins. I read all
- your messages, and have been going through the literature we have
- received. Thank you for your support and interest in us."
- "I appreciate the letters you are sending out.
- I am printing them out to keep and to send to my offline people. Not only do I appreciate the letters you
- send out, but I appreciate everything you have done for me and for everyone
- else in the group. You will make a fantastic Director, as you make a
- fantastic Sponsor! I wish I had in me, what you have in you! You are a real
- go getter and you have gained a ton of experience in MLM and you know which
- avenues to turn into. I look up to you!"
The guy that wrote a testimonial in 1909
"About forty-one years ago, I began in a modest, unassuming way, the sale of a liniment which I had found of unusual value for both the human family and for domestic animals. I had no capital to enable me to undertake a great advertising campaign. I had no extensive connection with the drug trade to enable me to put the liniment on sale in every drug store. All I had was my own energy and a big faith in the liniment, founded on what I knew it would do. So I started out through the country selling the preparation from place to place. That was the beginning of the J.R. Watkins Medical Company. In forty-one years the company has grown from a one-man, one-horse business to the largest company of its kind in the whole world. Our line has grown from one single remedy to more then 70 standard remedies and household articles. Our selling force has increased from one man to more than 1500. Our territory has expanded from the limited area I could cover alone, until it embraces practically the largest part of the United States. Our manufacturing facilities have increased from the little kitchen stove and pine table I first used, to the immense laboratories, with more than five acres of floor space, employing scores of business men and women. I do not write this for the purpose of boasting. I set it down here, simply that you may know the facts and from the facts draw your own conclusions. What do you think is the explanation of this phenomenal growth? Why has the J.R.Watkins Medical Company been so successful during so long a period? Do you think mere luck could account for it? You know that it was more than luck. Let me tell you what it was.
From the start I determined to offer the public nothing that I was not sure was the very best article that chemical and medical science could produce for the purpose for which it was intended. Quality - that's the very foundation, the cornerstone of our business. Next to that was the policy, which we have always thought it better to have many customers, and to make a small profit on each one, than to make a big profit on few customers. The third principle, which we think has contributed largely to our success, is our fair and square method of dealing with our customers. We have never tried to keep one cent of any man's money unless that man was satisfied that he had received full value for his money. On these three principals we have built our business. Every article of the highest quality. The most of every article that we can give for the money. A guaranty of satisfaction that means exactly what it says and with which we always comply. In the forty-one years of our business existence, we have never knowingly made a false representation concerning our goods. We have never put up nor sold a cure-all or a quack remedy. On the other hand, we have the satisfaction of knowing that we have not only saved the American people millions of dollars in needless doctor's bills and for expensive drugs, but we have also saved thousands of lives by providing the American people with safe, sure and harmless remedies which they can keep at hand ready for all emergencies -- and thus ward off attacks of disease before sickness and death obtain a grip on the constitution which cannot be shaken off. Our fair and square policy has been successful in the past - in spite of the fact that many concerns have seemed to think graft and dishonesty necessary to business success. We believe fairness and square dealing will be equally successful in the future. At least, we are not going to make a change in our policy at this late date. We shall continue to give our customers the highest quality, the greatest quantity, the lowest prices and the most liberal guaranty. If that policy appeals to you, we know we shall do business together. Yours for health, comfort and happiness."
Well, there you have it, straight from the man that started this company over a Century ago. A man thanks to whom my kids will attend college. A Testimonial from J.R. Watkins, Founder and President of the J.R.Watkins Medical Company.
