The
Contest: "The key to sponsoring the most people in the
shortest time possible"
Many of you are wondering why I hold this contest and I why I
teach others how to hold the contest. Is it worth the investment?
Will it pay off? I do not know, but in less than six months, I
had built my group up to 55 plus Reps. That is way above the
industry wide average reported of 2 Reps sponsored in the average
MLM'rs career. If you belong to my group, you are not average,
you are going to be way above average! Think what it takes to be
above average. You ONLY need to be better than half the people
around you. YOU CAN DO THAT! I WILL GIVE YOU A FREE WEB SITE TO
USE. In fact, you can be way above average, and I will show you a
step-by-step way of becoming above average, way above average!
Here are some facts I discovered when I first started, some of
these facts might surprise you, but nevertheless, they are what I
have uncovered in my research. We can hardly change the facts if
we do not like them, but we can learn to use them to our
advantage and build our group to the level our goals take us. The
following I have found to be facts:
- No matter which company or pay plan you choose in MLM,
the fact is that your income will average out to $3 to
$10 monthly for each Rep in your downline.
- If we take a $5 average, that means that if your income
goal is $1,000 monthly, you are going to have to have 200
Reps under you. Whatever income you get from your own
retail sales, is gravy.
- After you have exhausted your 'warm contacts', that is,
family, friends, acquaintances and referrals, if you are
average, you will have around 20 Reps in your group.
- To get the other 180, you will need to reach 'cold
contacts'. You generally do this by advertising. This
costs money. You have to place the ad, collect the
responses, send out information packages (preferably via
priority mail), and finally make follow up calls.
- In my research, I have found that for each person you
enroll the 'traditional' way in your cold market, you
have to spend between $100 and $200! That is a lot of
money!
- Most other MLM companies, require you to spend a minimum
of 50 CV or PV or BV's or whatever confusing formula they
use, each month. On the average, with shipping and taxes,
that comes out to $75 per month. You get some products,
but rarely do you get the value you get with Watkins
products.
- With the same amount of 'real' dollars, you can be in the
Watkins Preferred Program, which costs $42 including
shipping and you can 'give away' a starter kit ($30). At
the end of the month, you are left with a great product
AND ONE NEW REP! The Preferred Program is OPTIONAL. If
you want you can just invest the $30 for the kit, and at
the end of the month, you have A NEW REP!
- Now, just look at the HYPE table below, and you will find
out why I am sold on the concept of THE CONTEST!
| Month 1: You enroll one contestant |
You have 2 Reps in your group (You and
your contest winner) |
| Month 2: You teach your contestant to run
the contest and hold another contest of your own. |
You have 4 Reps in your group (Last
month's 2 and 2 new contest winner's) |
| Month 3: Repeat the cycle and there will
be 4 new contest winners. |
You now have 8 Reps in your group. |
| Month 4: You now have 8 contest winners
this month. |
There are 16 Reps in your group. |
| Month 5: 16 new contests held. |
The group doubles again to 32 Reps |
| Month 6:This month there are 32 contests
going on! |
By now the group is at 64 Reps. A note
here! I started this contest in February and we are now
in July. In almost 6 months, our group is at 55 Reps,
almost on schedule! |
| Month 7: With 64 contests going on... |
... the group grows to 128. At this
point, I want to remind you that not everyone will be
participating in this 'ideal' model. But to explore the
possibilities, let us continue through the 12th month... |
| Month 8: There are 128 contest winners. |
Wow! 256 Reps in this theoretical group! |
| Month 9: 256 contests held... |
In theory, you would have 512 Reps! |
| Month 10: Add another 512 to the group... |
Now you have 1,024 people. |
| Month 11: Hard to keep track of 1,024
contests! |
The group could be at 2,048 Reps! |
| Month 12: Finally, if everything went by
the book (which we know will NEVER happen) you add
another 2,048 people... |
The super group would be at 4,096 Reps!
It is nice to dream, isn't it? |
Wow! Incredible! 4,096 Reps in just one year! Okay, ENOUGH
HYPE here. Let's get back down to reality. Return to Earth...
What would you say if only half of the above number was
realistically achievable? It would still seem high, wouldn't it?
What about one tenth? Could that be achieved?
I want to be really conservative. I will say that only 1%
(that is 1 out of 100) of the 12th month theoretical maximum is
achieved. Would that sound achievable? That would assume that
there are 40 people in your theoretical group. I would say that
is very feasible, since in the 6th month of me having started, I
have surpassed that.
There are many other factors that come into play here, that
make me quite certain that 40 Reps in a year is possible out of
the 4,096 theoretical high. There is attrition and other factors.
But let us look at what 40 Reps in our group after one year would
mean to us:
- At $5 per Rep per month, a $200 monthly residual (month
after month) income is very possible after one year.
- If you never bought any product and you only spent the
$30 on the give-away contest every month, you will have
spent just under $400 in one year (the same amount you
would have saved if you just bought some Watkins products
for your own consumption as opposed to buying products
you already consume somewhere else).
- In 2 months you theoretically could recuperate your
investment in the contest kits!
- Not only that! You could run 2 contests a month and still
receive over $100 to spend on whatever you want.
- How many months you think it will take now for your
income to double? Since the growth potential is
exponential, I would say conservatively 6 months. Now you
would get paid $400 per month! Now, how long do you think
it would take for that to double again? 4 months this
time? You could be at $800 now! The next time it might be
3 months and you are now theoretically at $1,600 a month!
This could be possible after just over 2 years!
- Will this happen? I do not know. There are too many
factors at play, but Steve Bretzke has 8,000 plus Reps
after about 7 years, and that is using conventional
recruiting techniques available in his training manual.
Can you imagine what is theoretically possible if you
follow the manual's recommendations AND my contest?
If you add to the above figures the 20 Reps you are likely to
get from your 'warm contacts', then the figures can increase
accordingly!
